In 2010, the IT industry underwent significant changes.
The IT product development cycle has begun to shrink. There had been an active expansion of the network of Internet users, an increase in the availability of personal computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices for the population, the development of social networks and other means of online communication, including their penetration into corporate culture. Popularity bumped up against exponential increase in the volume of annually generated information in the world. All this required IT companies to quickly develop many new products that would meet the emerging needs of various customer groups and become leaders in these market segments, or at least keep up with competitors. In response to these challenges, corporations began to use a combined approach, combining various open innovation tools, including launching acceleration programs that allowed individual products to be brought to market at an accelerated pace. Microsoft Corporation was the first in 2007 to announce the implementation of the Startup Accelerator Program. The program involved individual work with startups and had no clearly defined time limits. Attention in the Microsoft acceleration program was paid to only two aspects - developing software on the Microsoft platform and increasing the awareness of participants' products in the market, including by posting information about startups in specialized directories on the Microsoft website and providing access to the company's partner network.
Other major companies followed Microsoft's example.
At that time, corporate acceleration programs typically included providing startups with funding, mentoring on specific technical and business development issues, access to a partner network, and even, in rare cases, premises for work. The world's first corporate accelerator, the Microsoft Kinect Accelerator, was organized by the Techstars business accelerator in partnership with Microsoft at the end of 2011. Unlike the Microsoft Startup Accelerator Program, it involved a short-term four-month accelerator program. In addition, all participants were engaged in a single program aimed at gaining knowledge for a successful business launch.

The first major success stories of the accelerator of the road industry began on the basis of the FAA Rosdorniya enterprise in 2020. The development of the road industry has become more and more urgent task for the whole world. Developing cities and megacities required large investments, and the infrastructure must have a presentable appearance and impeccable quality. It required the introduction of the latest technological progress and engineering in order for this area to really be famous for its high achievements. We faced the problem of effective implementation of technologies, application of innovations in the road industry and development of the project.
It was the ideas of creating an innovative project that led to the creation of a popular platform in the field of road construction, namely, the road accelerator.
